Data Notes

  1. All data are courtesy of the SC State Department of Education (SDE).  All of the data used in this report may be obtained from the SDE website: http://ed.sc.gov/
  2. The 2003 and 2004 data used in this report were obtained directly from the SDE in comma-separated value (CSV) format.  Although this format is not available on the SDE website, the data are available on the websites as HTML files (directly from a web browser) and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  3. With the release of 2004 PACT results, the SDE reported recalculated 2003 PACT results to facilitate comparisons with the newly-released 2004 data.  This report uses the recalculated 2003 PACT data.
  4. The PACT data reported by the SDE does not include results from modified PACT administrations including PACT-Alt results and results from the students tested off grade level.
